Strangford Sketchbook

Eight Pieces for Piano - Grades 6-7

Strangford Lough and the Ards Peninsula are one of my favourite parts of Ireland.  All the pieces in Strangford Sketchbook were directly inspired by the beauty of its unique environment.

REVIEW - Piano Professional

There is a strongly Irish/Celtic feel and some passages are slow moving, such as the first part of The Harp at Mount Stewart.  Each piece includes different elements of technical development.  Sandpipers at Ballyquintin is a lively toccata picturing the birds scuttling over the rocks, and the movement of the waves along the shore.  The Ferry Crossing is a choppy one!  Castle Ward - Temple Dancer in Blue features in both Trinity College and the Royal Irish Academy's latest piano syllabus.  Nancy Litten - ABRSM Examiner
